This abstract summarises a report analysing market cost expectations for floating offshore wind, and the development towards 2030 and 2035.
The report is based on an analysis of application data from Enova’s 2023 and 2024 competitions for small-scale commercial floating offshore wind projects. It provides insights into cost levels, LCOE, CAPEX and OPEX for demonstration projects and estimates for full-scale projects. It also discusses market conditions and the future competitiveness of floating offshore wind in Norway and Europe.
